Can`t get DCPs to work with IMS1000

Post by dacioalexandrino »

Hi there, appreciate any help in advance.

One year ago, I successfully created and runnned a DCP from DCP-o-matic in cinema. Can`t recall the projector brand. Unfortunately, right now, I`m running into trouble getting it to have it`s files recognized/used on the Doremi IMS1000. This is what I already did:

- Made sure the amount of audio channels where the same as the projector;
- Toned down audio levels so that it`s all well under the peak;
- Made sure I got resolution right (2k Scope footage >> 2k Scope DCP);
- Tested both: MPG and JPG video outputs;
- Always worked on non-encrypted DCP;
- Tested 150 and 200 mbps
- Tested SMTP and Interop DCPs;
- Tried different content types (trailer and advertisement);

I`ve made so many runs to the cinema projection room that they are almost giving me a copy of the key lol.
So, I`m desperate. If you know anything that could help me, please share. It will be much appreciated!

Are you able to ingest in the server? If not, what error messages are you seeing?

If ingested, what error messages are you seeing when trying to project?

How are you transferring the DCP to the projector? With a USB hard drive/thumb drive? If so, how are you copying the DCP onto the drive?

** File is not a know file type
** Bad parameters

I tried both, via the projector usb and via the desktop system/page.

How are you formatting the USB stick? Are you using Mac or Windows?

There doesn't seem to be any obvious issues with your files. Are you sure your transfer method is safe, means, are you sure the data isn't corrupted?

You may use DCPomatic player, load the DCP off your stick or disc into player, and perform a DCP verification under 'Tools'.

Which version of DCP-o-matic are you using?

I used different usb drives to make sure the media wasn't the problem.
Using the latest version of dcp-o-matic (double checked it).
DCP Player runs the file perfectly, and the verification returns zero warnings or problems.
It just don't run on this IMS1000 for some reason I cant figure.
The projector guy said he has projected other people´s dcps (from wraptor and other sources).
