Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Dear Wed, I still haven't found a way to test the sign language internally on my computers, here in Brazil, I'm using a movie theater to test them, it consumes me a whole day of work, it would be very important to find a way to try it out without having to go to the movies. Anyway, I hope you find a solution. As I said in my previous post, it would be important to have this in the DOM. I thought of a channel output like the CC, but anyway, that's an idea.

Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Hey guys, having checked this I would like some help on finding more info about the encoding of the mp4 file into a wav. If anyone have links, tutorials etc... would be very welcome.
I have been trying to do it (using ffmpeg etc...) but no luck so far.
Thanks a lot for any help!

Hi CheLucon,
Have you tried that Perl script : https://github.com/ISDCF/Sign-Language-Video-Encoding ?
Ffmpeg 3.2.4 (and not another version) must be in Path.
Best,
Dan

Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Hey Dan, thanks so much for your fast reply.
I am not too savy with ffmpeg and I'm using Apple Sillicon - so I couldn't run an earlier verison (currently I have only V6.0.1),
therefore have had no luck with the script.
I actually found @xultz original video (or at least I think it's it): https://youtu.be/wuV5kysPR7c?si=_23Uro73bfWHd6IR
But I have no PC to run virtual machine etc...
As for right now I am trying to get a hold of one to try it.
If by any chance you think you'd (or anyone else in this thread) would be able to convert a sign language file for the aceptable file for me I would truly appreciate it.
It's for a documentary about acessibility and will be watched by a lot of hearing impared people.
As of right now we have LSE subtitles only for this audience.
I would need it for next monday.
I can even pay a small amount if that's the case.
Let me know if you guys can help a brother out and we take it from there.
Thanks a lot for everyone here in the forum!
You guys rule!
Lucas

Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Hi Lucas,
Actually it might work with later ffmpeg versions (just tried with 4.3.6).
The only dependency I had to install (on Raspberry Pi OS) was the Perl "Slurp" module (type cpan then install File::Slurp).
And make the script executable typing chmod +x /path/to/encode-vp9-wav.
It's worth trying.
If you prefer you can post here, or send me by PM, a link to your 480x640 video. But please ensure to check the final DCP in a theater with SLV support

Re: Inserting accessibility content to a DCP
Dan my friend, thanks so much,
I will actually continue trying and studying but by now if you could convert the file for me would be amazing as I am working on a Film Festival project that requires my full attention right now.
I uploaded a file here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
If you can convert it today still and upload to the same folder would be a life saver!
Let me know and thanks many many times!

I don't have permission to upload to the folder, so here is a link to the wav : https://we.tl/t-5KI8NW6vn2
Tell us if everything works as expected.

Dan THE MAN!
Thanks so much for it.
I'll create the DCP and try at the cinema probably tomorrow morning.
If it works I'll put some pictures up here.
Do you by any chance have a lightning BTC address? Let me know!
Thank you so so much!
