Hi all,
I am attempting to ingest a DCP to an IMS3000 server, however I'm running into some issues that I cannot explain.
Using the TMS (screenwriter) the following error occurs:
Errors transferring files: j2c_89a7a1c7-ea13-4038-8526-ad106014fa04.mxf - Error in copying the file: [j2c_89a7a1c7-ea13-4038-8526-ad106014fa04.mxf] Error in file copy, Hash does not match. Expected [vhiOXjMHDtucjxLv/Itp/ZILT8k=] generated: [8uxauUzrBRNqoFqMpF5+2QlR4CI=] for file: /lms-data/INCOMING/OnHoldEngSubDc_SHR-1-25_F-178_NL-XX_20_4K_20250130_SMPTE_OV/j2c_89a7a1c7-ea13-4038-8526-ad106014fa04.mxf
When reviewing the content for corruptions on other servers however, an error isn't apparent. Perhaps someone might illuminate me?
Besides this I have a different problem. I tried to then ingest the DCP by connecting an external hard drive via USB, but it won't give me the possibility to access the drive. I have formatted the disk in NTFS, which should be readable for the IMS3000 as far as I can gather from the internet.
When I connect it to the IMS via USB 3.0 it doesn't register, however the disk still displays a light meaning that it is connected. When I connect it via USB 2.0 it shows up, but tells me that 2.0 is not advised due to performance reasons, and therefore doesn't allow me to access it.
Could anyone elucidate?

Hi,
Maybe the other servers aren't checking the hash? It would be interesting to run this DCP through the DCP-o-matic verifier to see what it says.
Or maybe there's some hardware problem with IMS3000 causing corruption on ingest... the DoM verification would tell us.

Does this USB 3.0 drive have its own power supply? Sometimes port-powered drives don't work due to a lack of power. When I connect it to the IMS via USB 3.0 it doesn't register, however the disk still displays a light meaning that it is connected. For now, I would also think that this is a spinning drive demanding too much power from the USB port. You may try a Y-USB cable (power parallel from two USB ports), or, a powered USB 3.0 hub between drive and USB port.

Re: Unable to Ingest with IMS3000
Solved!! The DCP-o-matic player indicated that one of the hashes in a video file didn't correspond what was written in the PKL. I made a new dcp, which worked fine.
The problem of the external hard disk remains for now, however. It does not have it's own power supply, but I didn't think that should be an issue with the IMS3000. I will look into the documentation.
